  • Auvergne: The ‘Massif Central Spa Town road’ was created to open up access to tourists to one of the many spa towns in the region.

  • Poitou Charentes: The ‘Etapes du Cognac’ invites you on a discovery of wine-making traditions, gastronomy and local heritage related to the Charentes ‘Cognac’ vineyards.
  • Ile de Ré: ‘Course Gourmet’ is an opportunity to discover the local products of the island: salt, jam, beer, goat cheese, oysters, chocolates and caramels, jams and chutney, urchins…
  • Savoie Mont Blanc: The vineyards of Savoie, still relatively unknown to most Brits, can be discovered on a wine route tour either with a wine specialist or in a chauffeured 2CV.

Region discovery

  • Languedoc Roussillon: The ‘Réseau Culturel Terre Catalane’ offers themed itineraries from the major heritage sites of the major heritage sites of the Pyrénées-Orientales.
  • Midi-Pyrenées: Children will discover the herdsmen, cheeses, donkeys and wildlife of the Pyrenées whilst travelling with donkeys and spending a night in a bivouac.
  • Rhône-Alpes: Safran Tours organises many itineraries uniting nature and culture as well as sport activities: walking, cycling, canoeing or travelling with a gypsy caravan.
  • Riviera: The history, secrets, rock carvings and legends of the beautiful Vallée des Merveilles will be told by Alain Grinda, writer narrator during a magical evening.

Gastronomy discovery

  • Auvergne: The diversity, flavour and savoir-faire of the Auvergne countryside, will be discovered along the 40 stops of the Cheese Road (producers, farmers, agers).
  • Burgundy: Learn how to make chocolate with the award-winning Bernard Dufoux. Are they really some of the best in France?
  • Limousin: The aim of the Limousin Apple Route is to promote the various aspects of the land and orchards associated with the A.O.P Limousin apple.
  • Nord pas de Calais: The Chocolaterie de Beussent, one of the few working directly from the cocoa bean will show you how chocolate is made.
  • Normandy: Set in the grounds of the exceptional Manoir de Cauteuil, La ferme du Valaine offers visitors the chance to tour the grounds and discover Norman specialities such as goat’s cheese and goat’s milk ice creams and chocolates.

  • Auvergne: ‘The Historic Castle Road’ of Auvergne was created to promote by common actions, the historical, architectural and artistic richness of these monuments.
  • Brittany: Three new cycling trails of around 20km each wend their way through the picturesque Blavet valley and its remarkable chapels.
  • Savoie Mont Blanc: Guided tours of the major towns of Savoie Mont Blanc are a brilliant way to feel the atmosphere of a city in a few hours: Annecy, Chambéry, Aix-les-Bains, Evian-les-Bains…
  • Corsica: Guided tours and excursions all over the Island. Wine route, craft road, authentic road of the senses. Boat excursions. Tourist trains.
  • Nantes 2012: Sightseeing circuits and city themed guided tours by using audio-guides in English "Nantes""Medieval Nantes" "18th Century Nantes"…

  • Midi - Pyrenées: Along the ‘route of the AOC Chasselas Grape’, growers welcome visitors and offer walks in the vineyards, cooking and wine history lessons.
  • Nord Pas de Calais: Half-day cooking class, followed by lunch at La Meunerie in Téteghem, a former flour mill. Double ticket to local art museums included.
  • Poitou - Charentes: Tour organised by Meukow Cognac: visit of the cellars, a tasting session and the possibility to discover the local cuisine for a lunch.
  • Ile de Ré: ‘Ile de Ré Chocolats’ invites visitors for a ‘behind the scenes’ look at chocolate production and other local specialities.
  • Rhône - Alpes: The ‘Beaujolais wine trail’ stretches over 140 km through 36 towns and is the perfect way to discover the famous vineyards.
  • Riviera: Guided tour of the 8 hectares of vineyards planted by the monks of the Abbaye de Lérins: 38,000 bottles now produced of chardonnay, clairette, syrah, pinot noir, mourvèdre…

Region discovery

  • Auvergne: Among its many treasures, Romanesque art is particularly well represented here, with more than 250 buildings forming the backbone of Auvergne's Romanesque heritage.
  • Brittany: Some locals are volunteering to become greeters and take visitors under their wings to give them the lowdown on where to go and what to do.
  • Languedoc Roussillon: The spectacular Abbey Saint Martin du Canigou now welcomes tourists for either daily visits or for longer spiritual retreats, lasting between 2 and 6 days.
  • Midi-Pyrénées: One of the three pilgrimage routes to St James of Compostella takes visitors to Lourdes, the most important pilgrimage site in France, before exploring the mysteries of the Cathars in Ariège and the Templars in Aveyron.
  • Clos Luce: Discovery of the Renaissance splendor and the Leonardo’s mysteries on a visit of the site with a narrated tour (July - August).
  • Club French Heritage & Culture: an historical circuit along the medieval part of the city of Avignon as it was the Popes’ capital.

  • Burgundy: Tours in the vineyards via hiking trails are available to discover legendary wineyards passing through some lovely villages allowing visitors to meet local producers.
  • Ile de Ré: 100% natural beers such as La Blanche de Ré, l'Ecume de Ré, la Blanche Amb'Ré, la Déferlante are produced at 'Bières de Ré', the only brewery on Ile de Ré.
  • Rhône-Alpes: 'Excelys Tour offers upmarket tours such as a luxury wine tour with a private driver, stays in luxury hotels or charming B&Bs and varied activities like hot air balloon trips, wine harvest, classical music concerts, and gourmet dinners.
