What is France Meets The Media?
France Meets the Media is an annual press road show bringing press representatives from French regions, counties and cities to meet up and discuss with the media in the UK and Ireland.
This year this event happens over 5 days, between 27 February and 2 March 2012, in Liverpool, Manchester, London, Edinburg, Glasgow and Dublin.
Why should I go? What is the aim?
#FMTM is a once a year opportunity to get the latest news, topics and events about France, plus original and quirky ideas for articles about what France has to offer as a leisure destination.
This year, the subject is ‘Create your own little black book to France’ as you will be able to check the news by targets and by activities
This event will also offer an opportunity to build contacts throughout the region as well as getting information about how to join in on various press trips.
Who is there?
Press officers only from each destination represented will be in attendance, as well as the ATOUT FRANCE team, who will be able to help set up meetings, in addition to giving straight to the point facts and figures.

Who organises this event?
ATOUT FRANCE, the France Tourism Development Agency is entirely responsible for the organization of this event.
ATOUT FRANCE act as a getaway for all French regions in the UK.
ATOUT FRANCE is a non-profit, governmental agency, whose main aim is to promote tourism in France.
Can I make specific appointments?
We will not be running an appointments system as this event has an open workshop / networking format.
However, if time is tight and you would like to meet with a particular contact then please introduce yourself to a member of the ATOUT FRANCE PR team when you arrive and we will do our best to make introductions as quickly as possible.
What is the format?
  • Liverpool: Speed dating lunch
  • Manchester: Evening networking
  • London: Workshop on 3 sessions to give everyone enough time to discuss - Tuesday morning and afternoon, Wednesday morning.
  • Glasgow: Networking workshop mid afternoon and early evening
  • Edinburgh: Breakfast Networking
  • Dublin: Speed dating lunch
How long are the meetings?
Each meeting will be limited to 20 minutes, ensuring we are able to accommodate as many requests as possible in the allotted time.
What about the access?
For all the venues except London, please contact us for help in arranging city to city transportation, if needed and if possible.
All venues have a disability access.

Three ways:
  • Exchanging contact details with local press officers to correspond directly after the event.
    After attending the event, your details will be added to the ATOUT FRANCE database. You will then regularly receive updates from our twitter feed, as well as our newsletter.
