Normandy

Normandy is situated in northern France, 70 km from Paris. The region's location gives three completely distinct coasts, from the ancient bay of Mont St Michel, up through the rugged coastlines of La Manche, across picturesque Calvados and all the way to the fishing village of Le Tréport. Normandy is also home to vast swathes of lush green countryside scattered with some of France's most beautiful villages. It is this diversity of landscapes that make Normandy such a food lover's paradise with the countryside playing host to apple orchards, cheese farms and Calvados distilleries whilst a huge variety of fish and seafood can be found all along the 600km of coastline. With all this, as well as its magnificent cultural heritage, covering everything from William the Conqueror and Joan of Arc to the Impressionist Movement and the D-Day Landings, Normandy continues to entice and delight a wide variety of visitors.
