Located 30 minutes away from the Atlantic Ocean, on the Loire Estuary, the Nantes Saint-Nazaire metropolis is gradually standing out as an envied destination as a town of art and culture in France. In summer 2012, Nantes will present a town won over by culture in all its forms, especially by art, in places dedicated to art but also in everyday life spaces, in streets, squares, bars and shops. The last edition of the Estuaire will play a part in this creative buzz by punctuating this trail with new discoveries. The main piece in 2012 will be the opening of THE SEA WORLD MERRY GO ROUND, a new part of The Machines de l'Ile. Nantes gastronomy glows with freshness: fish and seafood, vegetables, Muscadet,… Our talented chefs will be honoured in friendly places to make you taste our best products during the food festival in September 2012.
