Burgundy

Located between Champagne - Ardenne and Rhone Alpes, the region of Burgundy is located just southwest of Paris, a few hours drive from Calais, and easily accessible by the excellent network of highways or by the high-speed TGV train from the capital. Burgundy has a great network of rivers and canals: the Saône River, the Canal de Bourgogne, and numerous other waterways provide a leisurely means to get around on a touring holiday. Famous for its fine wines, Burgundy is home to "the best wines in Christendom", including Gevrey-Chambertin, Pommard, Meursault, Chablis, Pouilly-Fuissé and a long list of other well-known names.
